AI and recruitment

How will AI impact recruiters in the future? This blog explains more.

Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to computer systems capable of performing complex tasks that historically only a human could do. AI for recruitment can assist in sourcing and screening candidates, analyzing CVs and job applications, conducting pre-employment assessments, and even predicting candidate success and cultural fit. AI isn't a new concept, but its role in recruitment is becoming more predominant.

As AI allows recruiters to use the power of data to make better decisions, many recruiters are concerned that the rapid deployment of AI in recruiting, will lead to job loss.

Positions that consist of repetitive work, especially jobs involving data collection, input, summary, and simple writing tasks are likely to be handled by AI in the near future.

However, there are flaws - AI is still not capable of critical thinking, relationship building, problem solving, and many other complex tasks. AI isn’t designed to replace human judgement but to complement it, allowing professionals to focus on higher-value tasks – making hiring more efficient and effective.

AI will not replace traditional recruitment companies, but there are specific tasks that AI can help automate, meaning that humans and AI will be working alongside each other, which will increase efficiency and improve the candidate experience overall, and who doesn’t want that?
